I Am What I EatI need not food for sustenance; I need only to feed my heart the Raw bleeding rivulets of rhyme, To sink my teeth into the wizened words wrapped in its witty flesh; to drink the emulsified emotion that ebbs out as each line and stanza pulses its poetic pulp; bringing it closer to its untimely death. I lick the last of its lingering legacy off of my lips. It is a part of me, I am the poem.I Am What I Eat

The terrors of a womanThe small white lies That spill ever forth from her rosy red lips That hurt just a little every time Those small white lies, they tear me to silent shredsThe terrors of a woman
The smell of cheap cologne Dancing around her like the midsummer air Clinging to her clothes, skimpy as they are A smell she tries to hide with insincere kisses
The lovers I know she brings to our bed As soon as I am away Our house never really empty, she is never alone More little flies, caught in her web of lies
The broken heart she makes me live with Teasing my heart and soul Dangling
